THE PERFORMERS

Karen Stebner-Vocalist

Karen is a seasoned vocalist with a passion for inspiring audiences through music. Beginning her journey in the church choir as a child, she’s honed her skillsthrough diverse experiences, from Madrigal singers to acappella groups. Her love for performance has also led her to excel in musical theater and community productions.

With years of experience singing with the Baltimore Symphony Chorus and leading contemporary worship bands, Karen brings a wealth of talent and versatility to the stage. Her infectious energy and joyful spirit are sure to get you moving and keep the party going.

Jackie Conley-Vocalist

Jackie’s love affair with music began early—probably around the same time she realized she could make noise and people wouldn’t tell her to stop. Exposed to many genres at a young age, she developed a taste for everything from arias to Aretha. At 16, she started formal voice lessons, diving headfirst into opera and musical theater—because why pick just one dramatic art form when you can have both? In college, she played one of the Three Ladies in Die Zauberflöte, Mozart’s delightfully weird fairy tale opera. Yes, she sang in German. Yes, she nailed it. In 2015, Jackie joined a Groove Squad as a soprano vocalist, belting out high notes and harmonies while dancing in heels (sometimes simultaneously).

The band specialized in funky party jams and top 40 hits that made wedding guests believe they could dance. They brought the groove to casinos and festivals up and down the East Coast. Jackie has a soft spot for Motown, jazz, funk, indie, and fusion—basically anything with soul, groove, or a weird time signature. She believes live music is a sacred communal experience (and also the best excuse to wear sequins). Bringing joy through music isn’t just a job—it’s her happy place. And she’s just getting started.

Ayna Agamalieva-Vocalist

Ayna is a bright, charismatic performer, with a  strong voice with great range. She is a multiple laureate and winner of Russian music competitions. She has big experience of performing at various venues in Moscow and out of Russia.  In August 2013 Ayna performed in New Delhi for Russian Embassy in India for the Independance Day of Russia as a soloist of a female jazz band JazzLadies. She has also performed at several concerts with her own project, JazzMagic, in Moscow jazz clubs featuring the trombone player and composer Stafford Hunter.

In August 2016 performed in Slovakia at the Jazz Festival of Doda Sosoku and The Festival of Russian Music with her jazz band JazzMagic, 2017-2020. In addition, she has performed at various venues in Shanghai, China. Despite her jazzy background she loves to sing pop and rock music, too! She now lives in the USA for over 3.5 years and performed at several venues & events in Philadelphia, PA and in Maryland. She is super excited to be a part of  Angels On Fire.

Fabian Jozsa-Lead Guitar

Fabian Jozsa grew up in Hungary in a family where music was always present. He began playing piano at an early age and picked up guitar at 12, eventually studying classical guitar and later jazz. In high school, he formed a serious band with his friends that was preparing to be considered for a record deal. However, his musical journey took a detour when he moved to the USA during his college years, stepping away from the band and his dreams at the time.

An IT professional by day, Fabian reignited his passion for music by performing with coworkers who shared his enthusiasm. Since then, he has played with various groups, connected with the management of Angels on Fire, and recently joined the band, bringing his technical expertise and creative energy to the stage.

A devout connoisseur of neoclassical and progressive metal, Fabian enjoys writing songs, collaborating with fellow musicians, and teaching guitar. While rock and metal are at the core of his musical style, he also enjoys exploring and performing a variety of genres, blending elements of different musical traditions to create unique fusions. Fabian is actively involved in the DC Metro musician community and continues to push his creative boundaries with a passion for excellence.

Rus Eyring-Bass

At the tender age of ten, Rus started his musical journey on the sexiest of brass instruments, the French horn.  After being bullied for carrying what appeared to be a “toilet bowl,” Rus abandoned his big-band aspirations and picked up the guitar instead.  But Eddie Van Halen had inspired many millions of other youngsters to pick up the instrument, and all of them were better players than Rus. And since he was too uncoordinated to play drums, Rus migrated to the bass guitar.  He has been inspired by bass greats like John Deacon, John Paul Jones, Paul McCartney, and Mike Dirnt.

Matt Fein-Drummer

Matt started playing drums in 3rd grade because he thought it “looked cool”.  Fast forward a few decades and he’s still playing away. He loves playing drums, although he sometimes wishes he picked a lighter instrument!  Matt has a wide variety of musical influences – from classic rock to modern pop.  His favorite drummers are Stewart Copeland, Keith Moon, and David Grohl.  No matter the style, Matt’s aim is to keep the rhythm going and the crowd dancing.  By day, to support his music habit, Matt works as a federal contracting specialist.

Amit Chatterjie-Keys

Influenced by several cultures and musical styles through travels in the Far East, Middle East, Europe, and the US, Amit was at the center of the Italian musical scene in the ’70s lugging his Hammond in tow. Flashing forward, he continues his passion on keys with bands that push the boundaries of intriguing original cross genre music like Dupont Circles, HusBand, and Jackie and the Treehorns, and the cover band Bad Neighbors. Performing in progressive jazz bands alongside a talented group of musical phenoms, he also stands in as session musician for recordings and gigs.
